After launching its latest flagship — the OnePlus 15 — in India, the company is now preparing to introduce another premium offering in the country. OnePlus has officially begun teasing the arrival of its upcoming mid-range smartphone, the OnePlus 15R, on its India website with a “Coming Soon” label. According to multiple online reports, the device is expected to make its debut next month.
The teaser images on the website reveal that the OnePlus 15R may sport a dual-camera setup housed inside a rectangular rear module. The company has also confirmed that the device will run on the latest OxygenOS 16 software.
OnePlus 15R: Expected Specifications
While OnePlus has not yet released the official specifications, several leaks and reports suggest that the phone may include:
- Display: A 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED screen
- Processor: Snapdragon 8 Elite or Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 SoC
- Security: Ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor
- Cameras: 50MP primary camera paired with a secondary lens
- Battery: Massive 7800mAh battery with 100W fast charging support
If these details prove accurate, the OnePlus 15R could become one of the most competitive devices in the mid-premium segment.

OnePlus 15 Launches Globally, but US Customers Need to Wait
The flagship OnePlus 15, powered by Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, has officially launched in global markets. However, consumers in the US will have to wait longer due to a delay in regulatory approvals.
A recent US federal government shutdown has created a backlog at the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), slowing down the certification process required before the device can go on sale. The shutdown, which lasted 43 days — the longest in US history — has pushed back the smartphone’s US release timeline.
According to Bloomberg, OnePlus has confirmed that US availability will begin only after the certifications are completed, though no specific date has been announced. Meanwhile, the device is already selling in several regions, including India and Canada.
The OnePlus 15 features:
- Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor
- High-refresh-rate display aimed at mobile gamers
- Up to two days of battery life
OnePlus has also revealed the US pricing, starting at $900 for the base model equipped with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage.
